Idea That Grew
It started with a problem Marcus Reid kept running into on camping forums: incredible tents sitting in warehouse clearances, unsold and unknown, while new campers overpaid at big-box stores. In 2015, he left his corporate job, drove to his first liquidation auction, and Tent Clearance was born.
What began as a small online operation out of a garage in Colorado has grown into one of the web's most trusted sources for clearance camping gear. We work directly with manufacturers and retailers to acquire overstocked, discontinued, and end-of-season inventory — then pass those savings directly to you.
Today our team of 12 outdoor enthusiasts hand-tests and curates every tent we carry. If we wouldn't sleep in it, we don't sell it. It's that simple.
